The
Stouffer TX Exposure Guide is used to pinpoint the proper exposure
for B/W and color prints. From one test exposure, the user can
select the best of the nine exposure patches that cover a range of
1 1/2 F-stops (.05 to .45 optical density) to 3 F-stops (.05 to
.90 optical density) in 1/6 and 1/3 F-stop increments. A conversion
chart indicates the proper exposure in seconds. |
Visualization
is a creative and subjective concept used when approaching the art
of photography. Visualization works by projecting the final
photographic image in the mind.
To
help the photographer use this creative concept, Stouffer has
designed the RZ9 Zone System
Chart. The RZ9 displays the useable
Zones of I to IX for comparison of the actual tonal values of
photographic papers and images to be photographed. |

Transmission
Projection (TP) Step Wedges are most commonly used in the enlarger
to establish exposure and processing adjustments and to determine
the speed and contrast of photographic papers. All guides have 21
steps in density increments of .15 optical density which equals
1/2 F-stop of exposure.
